Welcome!

Oh, my goodness!  It's finally spring.  It is just beautiful here in the Inland Northwest of the United States.  I'm feeling the sunshine these days, and it's time to do a little spring cleaning on the Something Good site.  I hope you enjoy looking around.  There's some good information below that will help you navigate the site.

It Just Takes One Good Thing

These days we are all so busy.  It seems like there are more chores than time, more bills than money, and more causes than energy.  Our goal here is to come up with really simple ways that each of us can so Something Good each day.  We want to make our own lives better and do what we can to improve the world around us.  Take a look around the site, and you will find suggestions on how to help out those in need, how to get organized, how to be kinder to the earth, how to save money and how to add a little more peace of mind to your daily life.

Some Info to Get You Started

This site originally started as a blog in which a group of us could share ideas on how to make the world, and ourselves, a little bit better.  Now we're expanding to this forum in order to branch out with these ideas.

A Little Information about the Blog

The purpose of this blog is very simple: To do Something Good every day. I'll make suggestions of things we can all do to improve the world around us, feel better about ourselves, or just make our lives a little less stressful.
I would very much like to create a sense of community in this space, one where we all take a moment out of our day to do Something Good. I will be following the suggestions, too, and will talk a little about what they have meant to me.

Most of the suggestions will be quick and painless. They won't cost any money and will leave you feeling like you're a step ahead of the game. Others will take more time or energy. Some might even cost money, although we'll try to keep that to a minimum as well. I just want us to be able to go to bed at night knowing that we did at least one good thing during the course of our crazy, hectic, brain-draining days.

I want to hear about how you've implemented these suggestions. What's gone well? I also want your ideas. Contact me through the site
with your suggestions for Something Good that we can all do. To start with, I'll at least offer you a link to your blog or something, but as we continue on; maybe there will be even cooler rewards for having a suggestion that we use.

The Four Agreements

Ever since I started the Something Good blog, I've been wanting to write about Don Miguel Ruiz' book The Four Agreements, and I've finally done it!  This book has done so much to help me refocus myself and learn how to start creating the life that I want to live.  Check out the Good Posts section of the Something Good web site to see what all the ruckus is about.
